No. 223 of 1,650-copy edition. Gilt titles (dimmed on spine but legible) on charcoal cloth. 164pp. All plates present. Some wear, with minor fraying, on tips of spine and on top outside corner of front cover. Faint, barely perceptible beverage ring on lower front cover. Some faint spotting on top front edge. The Commercial Club's presentation bookplate, inscribed to the F.A. Hardy Co., on fep. Ex-Evanston Historical Society, whose small label appears on the fep. A solid, clean example of this important work, which reshaped Chicago's central area and was an important influence on the new field of city planning.
